Buying an Eastern Carolina Home

Here are a few things to consider:

  1. Where would you like to be?
    1. Would you like to be at the beautiful Crystal Coast living only a stone’s throw away from our amazing beaches? 
      If so, then the island of Bouge Banks is perfect for you, stretching from the west end also known as “The Point” and the United States Coast Guard Station Emerald Isle, all the way down to Fort Macon State Park, which contains the Historic Fort Macon, and the United States Coast Guard Station Fort Macon.  Having these 2 stations combined with the many other military bases in the area makes our waters some of the safest in North Carolina.  If that is what you want then consider the island of Bouge Banks, where going to the beach is as simple as walking out your back door.  Or you can even live facing the mainland and fish from your own backyard, have your own dock, and possibly your own boat lift.
    1. Would you like to be near the Croatan National Forest and National Park? 
      Easily able to go for a nice nature walk, bike ride, or camping trip.  Then the West Carteret area is perfect for you.  This area consists of several small towns, each one having its own community of helpful neighbors, and its own unique feel.
    1. Or would you like to live in the one of the towns or small cities in the area?
      The Western Carteret & Eastern Onslow Area       offers several small towns, each one having its own community of helpful neighbors, and its own unique feel.
      Morehead & Beaufort offer a fishing community along with two small cities containing plenty of places to visit shop and a site filled walk down the historical front street in Beaufort.  All while still being able to have your dream home on a reasonably sized piece of land.
      Jacksonville a small city located in the center of Onslow county, with Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, and Marine Corps Air Station New River.  Has tons of places to shop and visit, including two large movie theatres perfect for you and your significant other, or your family to go to on a nice day out.
      Down East gives you the freedom to do what you want while still living close to water.  It has large area where no HOA will tell you what to do with your house.  While also having helpful neighbors, who are always willing to lend a hand, all you need to do is ask, and they will jump up to help you. 
      Newport, Havelock and New Bern offer almost everything, New Bern is a small city with plenty to do, can you find all the bears? While havelock is home to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point which contains FRCE (Fleet Readiness Center East) the largest industrial employer in eastern North Carolina, employing over 4,000 military, civilian and contract workers.  Newport on the other hand is a quiet area containing a small town, middle and elementary, post office, and a few shops scattered around the area.  It has plenty of homes with large tracks of land just waiting for you.
